SuggestRun: Windows Run Dialog Like Search Box With Live Suggestions

Windows 7 users use the search box in Start Menu to find files/folders, and also to run commands and programs. With Windows 7’s advanced search box with search suggestions, they seldom miss the Run Dialog, which is an essential part of Windows XP Start Menu.

SuggestRun, an open source and free utility, brings live suggestions to the Windows Run Dialog. This standalone program needs no installation. Simply run the exe file, and you can start using the SuggestRun box to find and run Windows commands.

SuggestRun filters the suggestions as you start typing. You can then scroll down the results and choose the one you are looking for. Contrary to our expectation, this program did not integrated into Windows Run Dialog. Hopefully the developer will add more features in later releases, including adding to startup, keyboard shortcuts, and maybe even Windows Run Dialog integration.
