The Microsoft Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications is anti-piracy tool which checks your Operating System for a legitimate copy by connecting to Microsoft servers every time you boot. Once the WGA Notification tool has verified your PC as legitimate, there is no need to do it for every boot. Microsoft has already given the method to remove this tool in it’s knowledge base (kb 921914). Since this process is not only lengthy but also complicated, basic users of Windows XP can be benefited by the Remove WGA tool which does this automatically.

Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications is different than Windows Genuine Advantage Validation. Remove WGA only removes the notification part , and does not touch the Validation part.
