How To Record Screen Video Using Free Screen To Video
We often have situations to record screen activities to make a video or presentation and share it with others. Most often recording screen activities comes handy while making a training material. “Free Screen to Video” is a freeware for doing such screen captures and save the recorded file as video with audio.
The little program is easy to use and can save the recorded video in popular formats including FLV, AVI, WMV, and SWF. The freeware gives you an option to include audio too.
The programs interface is self explanatory and simple.
Once the program is launched, you can choose type of screen capture. Three forms of captures are available including “Entire Screen Capture”, “Windows Selection Capture”, and “Selective Area Capture”.

You can then choose the output format of recorded video. FLV, AVI, WMV, and SWF are the available output formats.

By clicking on the “Configuration” button, you are given choice to capture audio while recording video. You need to check “Capture Audio” to do that. Choose the Input Pin, adjust volume and audio is set for recording.
In Video settings, you can choose FPS rate of video. For most of normal presentations, default value of 15 should be enough.

Apart from Video and Audio settings, you can also choose to include “Mouse” arrow during recording.

After the settings are done, go ahead and click “Start” button. Give a name for the file to be recorded and then program minimizes to taskbar and a red dot appears in the taskbar. Right-click on it to “Pause” and “Stop” the video.
We found the recorded video very impressive and overall a good free video capturing utility.
