Forward Router Ports Easily and Effectively with Simple Port Forwarding
Have you been unable to connect to a P2P or gaming network on the Internet? It’s probably because your router has not been set up for port forwarding. Whenever your PC gets incoming connection requests, your router disregards them if it cannot find any specific port forwarding rules.
This is how it protects you from malicious and hidden attempts at scanning your computer for private data.
Port forwarding is also necessary in other scenarios such as bringing your home security camera online for watching it from your office. Simple Port Forwarding is a free application that lets even a non-technical person easily setup the router port forwards.
This Windows freeware works with most of the currently available routers in the market including Asus, Belkin, D-Link, Linksys, Microsoft, Motorola, Netgear and many more.

Choose a router from the drop-down menu, enter it’s IP address (same as ‘Default Gateway’ of your IP config settings) and add port forwarding details either manually or by choosing from a vast list of pre-configured popular application ports such as Azureus, CITRIX, Eclipse, online games like Age of Empires, FastTrack, Track Mania etc.
Every router has a web interface to configure it’s settings. What Simple Port Forwarding does is it lets you update these settings from it’s easy to use interface without opening the router’s complicated configuration page. It’s other interesting features include support for static IP addresses, testing of the port forwarding settings, auto detection of multiple routers, and saving of the port configuration lists to later reuse or share with others.
