Google Reader Desktop Client Free

Google Reader is one of the most popular online feed readers, with it’s versatile set of features, and ease of use. Because of huge user base, several Google services such as Google Translation, Google Buzz, and so on have desktop clients. Google Reader also has it’s own set of desktop applications, including the Google Reader Gadget.

Here is another Google Reader desktop client, google-reader-air. The air in it’s name stands for Adobe AIR platform, on which it is based. For the unaware, Adobe AIR is a cross-platform runtime environment, using which developers can create applications that work on multiple operating systems, including Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux.

Google-reader-air is a simple Google reader client, it does not give you any more features than it’s online counterpart. In order to install this program, you need to first install Adobe AIR. This free program needs some improvements, especially in the user interface, and performance.
