Get RSS Feeds on your Desktop with Google Reader Gadget

Google Desktop has now a new addition to it’s list of gadgets. The Google Reader gadget is a feed reader and subscription manager. It can track all your RSS feeds and subscriptions right from the desktop without a need to open any browser.

How to use the Google Reader gadget?

In case you dont have Google Desktop, you will have to install it first in order to use this gadget. Sign-in with your Google account to open your subscriptions in the Reader. The feeds are updated automatically upon selection.

Clicking an item opens a larger view where you can see the item preview and perform familiar actions such as star, share, and email. Due to a technical limitation of Google Desktop, the Reader gadget cannot render full HTML feeds. In order to view the full feed, open the item in a browser.
