Find Region Code Of Your DVD Drive Using DriveInfo

Want to know whether your DVD drive is region protected, and if so what is the region code? Here is a small portable utility DriveInfo that lets you find this out in a jiffy. This free program also gives you details such as the left over number of changes to your drive region code.

Usually, you are allowed to change the region code of DVD drive up to 5 times. Beyond this, it would get locked and the last changed region code would become permanent. Or you could send it to the manufacturer who can reset that counter 4 times.

Extract the zip file (download link given below) and run the exe file. You should now get information such as your drive’s region code, number of changes left for the user, number of changes left for the manufacturer and status.
