TuneWiki started as a social media player for mobile phones (Google Android phones) and then became a website where you can log in and listen to thousands of tracks, view their lyrics, contribute to the lyrics and also see who all are listening to a particular track on a google map.

The TuneWiki Plugin for Windows Media player 11 brings the same user experience on the TuneWiki website to listeners of WMP 11. It enhances the interface of Windows Media Player by playing lyrics from it’s online wiki database in time with the music being played. Lyrics are also available for YouTube videos that you find by searching through the TuneWiki plugin.

When you install TuneWiki plugin for Windows Media Player 11, it appears as a skin for the ‘Now Playing‘ window. (see the image below).

TuneWiki includes foreign-language translations for lyrics. It allows listeners to contribute and correct translations. TuneWiki converts Windows Media Player 11 into a social networking media player by connecting users to other listeners through interactive music maps. Play any song either from TuneWiki’s library or your computer and you will be able to instantly see on the map who else in the world is listening to the same track. You can also share your playlists and lyrics with your friends on Facebook and Twitter.
