Clonezilla: Free Partition, Disk Clone Tool

Once in a while, you should take a backup of your hard drive. So that in times of disaster, such as a sudden hardware failure or a lost/stolen drive, you still have your precious data on the backup. Here is a backup and recovery tool, Clonezilla, which is a good and free alternative to expensive PC Backup Software such as Norton Ghost.

Clonezilla saves and restores only used blocks on your hard drive. In order to start using it, download the ISO image, burn it to a CD or make a bootable USB out of it. Boot your system after inserting the CD or flash drive. Once you enter the Clonezilla mode, choose the function (save disk, restore disk, save parts, restore parts) you want to perform on your computer and follow the step by step instructions.
